Wolverine Might Arrive “as soon as fall 2024.”

ADDITIONALLY, A “HARD” M-RATING AND A SEMI-OPEN WORLD ARE BELIEVED TO BE PRESENT.

According to Jeff Grubb of Giant Bomb, Marvel’s Wolverine might debut as early as next year.

Grubb revealed some fresh information on Marvel’s Wolverine in the most recent episode of Game Mess Mornings, including a tentative, flexible release date.  “The fact that I’ve heard two distinct dates surprises me. As early as Fall 2024 has been mentioned, which is incredible “

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is scheduled for release by Insomniac in the fall of 2023, so it would be rather strange to release another big game the next year, as Grubb pointed out on the podcast. However, Grubb also underlined that nothing is final just yet because he has “heard internally they’re still very much talking about 2025.”

Notably, Microsoft explicitly stated in October of last year that Sony’s 2023 game lineup would include Marvel’s Wolverine. Even if we had serious doubts about it back then, we still do today, but coming from PlayStation’s main opponent, it’s difficult to ignore.

In addition, Grubb claimed that Wolverine from Marvel will have a “hard” M-rating and hinted that the title character would be employing those lethal claws. You should expect Wolverine to be considerably more violent given that Marvel’s Spider-Man has an ESRB T-rating for “blood, drug reference, language, and violence.”

The last thing Grubb said was that Wolverine probably won’t be complete open-world like the Spider-Man games, properly pointing out that Wolverine would have a totally different way of moving around than the web-slinging superhero. Wolverine will apparently contain open areas of a world comparable to other, major Sony games rather than an entirely open environment. Although Grubb didn’t mention it specifically, Wolverine’s map may have some general similarities to God of War Ragnarok in terms of its open-world design.
