By responding to queries from users, the WB Games Support profile on Twitter disclosed some information regarding Hogwarts Legacy. We discovered that the game will not support cross-save across various platforms and that we will be able to keep the saves of four different characters.
With this functionality, users who need to share their consoles or PCs with family or friends or who simply want to have a separate persona for each of the Hogwarts Houses can do so. Each character will have a number of save slots, with 5 for automated saves and 10 for manually created ones.
Hogwarts Legacy was also noted as not supporting cross-platform saving, however it is still possible to link multiple copies to the same WB Games account and earn in-game awards in each of them. It is unclear whether the same applies to gaming systems in the same family, such the PS4 and PS5, though.
Hogwarts Legacy releases on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S on 10th February 2023, with the last-gen version (PS4, Xbox One) set for release on 4th April 2023.
The Nintendo Switch version is scheduled to release on 25 July 2023.
