Pandora’s box has been opened
On October 21st, Telltale Games will release New Tales from the Borderlands, the follow-up to its great episodic adventure. The game, which will be available on PS5 and PS4, was found on Amazon by renowned tweeter Wario64. It promises to “take a stand against cruel corporate overlords in a narrative-driven adventure.” Pre-orders for the Deluxe Edition will include cosmetics for the main characters “Anu, Octavio, and Fran” in addition to “10,000 in-game money and an in-game FL4K Vaultlander collectible.”
The narrative will be split into five unique chapters, just like the original, and “decisions you make decide how your story concludes in surprising ways,” according to the publisher. The description continues, “The Borderlands aren’t just home to Vault Hunters, psychos, and CEOs of weapons corporations—they’re full with uprooted, brave individuals just trying to survive. This timeless story is likely to please both new and old fans with a plethora of familiar and new faces.
And a product description adds: “Within the perpetually war-torn metropolis of Promethea, you’ll control Anu, Octavio, and Fran on the worst day of their lives. Help these three lovable losers as they endeavour to change the world (and maybe even save it). Face down a planetary invasion, vicious vault monster, and cold-hearted capitalist in this cinematic thrill ride where what happens next is up to you. Meet a motley cast full of misfits, assassin bots, and talking guns in this race to the top. It’s time to fight back against exploitation and corporate greed. It’s time to make Mayhem your business.”
We anticipate a trailer to be released shortly because there has been so much material leaking; perhaps, we’ll soon get our first look at the sequel.
