Sonic the Hedgehog is having a great 2022. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is sitting on top of the box office having already topped $100 Million and a renewed interest is being seen in the blue guy as the cover art for Sonic Origins has already leaked, meaning we could be getting the game sooner rather than later.
We don’t even have a release date yet for the game but the cover art is here. The leak occurred on the PlayStation Network, so we know that will be one of the systems it will arrive on later this year. We can assume the game will make its way to Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC as well.
We do know the game will include: Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic CD, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, and Sonic & Knuckles. The last time we had a compilation of his games was back in 2010 with Sonic Classic Collection on DS. Then the following year Sonic Generations released on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Nintendo 3DS, and PC and had levels that span Sonic’s then 20 year career.
