Captain America himself, Anthony Mackie is set to use that well earned Marvel Studios money and created a studio of his very own. The actor has been a big part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe lately. His character, Sam Wilson, made his first appearance in 2014’s Captain America: Winter Soldier and was seen last in 2021’s Falcon and The Winter Soldier.
He took over the mantle of Captain America from Chris Evan’s, Steve Rodgers, and is now the rightful owner of the shield, even after Wyatt Russels, US Agent thought he was owed the shield. Mackie will next bee seen in a solo film under the Captain America branding sometime in the future. Even though this film is yet to hit production, Mackie seems to have a focus on being behind the camera with his latest purchase.
Mackie just bought 20 acres of land in the Little Woods neighborhood of New Orleans East. The actor has confirmed that he plans to use that space to build his very own studio called East Studios, LLC.
This move is not out of left field for the star, he recently produced, The Banker, on Apple TV+ and Outside the Wire on Netflix. He is also set to star in and produce Twisted Metal, an adaptation of the car combat game for Peacock.
