Abigail Review

Dracula’s Daughter Gets a Curfew

Kidnapping is bloody hard work. This crew is about to find out just how bloody it is. But will they make a lasting impression on the big screen or is just gonna pass right through you like that time you had 2am Chinese food

Let’s find out!

Abigail is a horror movie that starts with a simple kidnapping and turns into something else much darker. The person they kidnapped turns out to be a freakin’ vampire and now the criminals must work together if they are to survive the night or just end up as Abigail’s latest snack.

Melissa Barrera and Dan Stevens kill it in the movie and this just shows that the team behind the Scream films was foolish to drop her from the franchise. Giancarlo Esposito has a small role in the film and of course takes all the focus on any scene he is in. Alisha Weir as the titular monster does a great job at playing a scared little girl and a crazed stalker in the night.

The film moves at a steady pace, I never once got bored, but I definitely jumped out of my seat a few times.

If you like Vampires and Bloody Horror flicks with light comedic elements, definitely give Abigail a watch

This is a good time… No texting required!

I’m going to give Abigail 7 bloody ballerinas out of 10.

This didn’t quite reach the heights of the Scream movies, but its still a good time if you decide to check it out. It’s definitely better than night swim, and has more humor and a better cast than Imaginary.

So what did you think of Abigail, did you like it? Did you love it? Did you hate it? Did you even see it!?
