Leaked Footage of Valve’s Alleged Hero Shooter ‘Deadlock’ Surfaces Online

Leaks of what is purported to be Valve’s next game, a 6v6 hero shooter named Deadlock, have been making rounds online, although Valve has not officially commented on the matter. The leaks include both screenshots and gameplay videos, showing a game with a steampunk fantasy setting and a visual style reminiscent of BioShock Infinite.

The leaked video was shared by PlayerIGN on X, depicting gameplay with characters that evoke the aesthetic and design elements familiar to Valve’s previous titles like Team Fortress 2. Described as a third-person shooter, Deadlock features large maps, fast travel via floating rails, and characters with various abilities and items.

Key features include:

  • 6v6 battles on large maps with four lanes
  • Fantasy and steampunk setting with magicians, weird creatures, and robots
  • Tower defense mechanics integrated into the gameplay
  • Fast travel using floating rails similar to those in BioShock Infinite

Character designs in the leaks have drawn mixed reactions, with some characters resembling alternate versions of Team Fortress 2 characters. For example, a robot character appears similar to The Spy, and another character, Infernus, has traits reminiscent of The Sniper and Pyro.

The leaks suggest that Deadlock is still in a beta stage, and the final version, if released, might see significant changes. Valve’s typical silence on leaks means fans will have to wait for an official announcement to confirm the game’s existence and details.
