Kristala, an upcoming action-RPG Soulslike featuring a humanoid cat protagonist, will be available on Steam Early Access starting June 6. Developed by Astral Clockwork Studios, the game will also be Steam Deck Verified from day one.
In Kristala, players assume the role of a young feline warrior on a quest to harness the power of six ancient Kristals scattered across a dark fantasy world. The game involves battling humanoid rats transformed into bloodthirsty beasts by a mysterious curse.
The gameplay features traversal mechanics similar to Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, including gliding across tightropes and executing stealth kills. The developers, avid fans of Bloodborne, have infused Kristala with elements reminiscent of the FromSoftware classic.
While the early access version launches next week, the full release is slated for 2025, with plans to expand to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
