Fortnite Introduces Separate Loot Pools for Ranked and Normal Battle Royale

Fortnite’s latest All Sweat Summer event brings a significant change by separating loot pools for Ranked and normal Battle Royale modes until July 18. This move involves the removal of vehicles, vehicle items, and Nitro Fists from Ranked Battle Royale and Zero Build, a change players have long requested.

Many players believe that separating loot pools enhances the competitive integrity of Ranked play, aligning it more with skill-based competition rather than luck. Despite this, a mix-up allowed Nitro Fists to remain in Ranked play, which Epic Games is currently addressing.

The Fortnite community has largely welcomed the change, with hopes that it becomes permanent. Players like LibertyInAgony and myMcLarenP1 have praised the move, suggesting it improves the competitive environment and aligns with what many competitive players have wanted.

Epic Games is monitoring feedback closely, indicating this event might be a trial run for a potential permanent change. For now, the separate loot pools and other adjustments are set to revert on July 18, but the positive reception might influence future updates.
