Stellar Blade continues to dominate headlines — not just for its gameplay, but for the sheer volume of mods it’s inspired since release. In just three months, the action title has racked up an incredible 19.8 million downloads on Nexus Mods, making it the second most-modded game of 2025 so far.
Unsurprisingly, the majority of the most-downloaded mods fall into the “adult” category. The top three alone — YoRHa Unofficial Ceremonial Attire (418,000 downloads), Eve With No Clothes (390,000), and XXTB Eve (307,000) — have been downloaded well over a million times combined. Rounding out the top five are cosmetic mods that add new eye colors, makeup, and head models, each exceeding 290,000 downloads.
This surge shouldn’t come as a shock to anyone familiar with Stellar Blade’s history. The game was a magnet for modders from the moment its beta went live — to the point where it shattered NieR: Automata’s early modding records within hours. Director Kim Hyung-tae previously stated that “official content is better,” but that hasn’t slowed down fans’ creativity (or curiosity).
The only 2025 release that’s outpaced Stellar Blade in mod downloads so far is The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, with roughly 400,000 more downloads — despite releasing nearly two months earlier. Close behind is Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, which has reached 11 million downloads.
Interestingly, Stellar Blade mods also see higher engagement per upload. The average mod has around 11,600 downloads, compared to Oblivion Remastered’s 5,300.
None of this should be too surprising given how well the game performed out of the gate. Stellar Blade became the fastest-selling PlayStation PC port to date, moving one million copies within just 72 hours of launch.
Love it or not, the numbers don’t lie — Stellar Blade isn’t just one of the most talked-about games of the year, it’s also become a massive creative playground for the modding community.
