Mandalorian Star Set to Join the MCU

This casting might be a bit of a stretch.

Guess what’s buzzing in the Marvel universe? Word has it that Pedro Pascal might be stepping into the shoes of Reed Richards in the upcoming Fantastic Four flick. Yep, the guy from The Last of Us and The Mandalorian might just be our new stretchy superhero. But hold your horses, it’s not a done deal yet—still in the talks phase.

Now, forget about Jim from The Office; it seems Pedro Pascal is the one eyed for the role. Deadline dropped the bomb on this juicy scoop, adding that Pascal, who’s been juggling The Last of Us, The Mandalorian, and other hot genre shows, is seriously considering the offer. Rumor has it talks are on the right track, but we’re not popping the champagne just yet.

The Fantastic Four film is gearing up for action next year, with Matt Shakman calling the shots. If all the stars align and the deal clicks, Pascal would be taking over from John Krasinski, the Jim we all wanted, but who only cameoed in 2022’s Multiverse of Madness. Apparently, fan demand got Krasinski on board initially, but the MCU didn’t send him a return ticket. He follows Ioan Gruffudd, the former Mister Fantastic.

With the MCU’s multiverse jazz, a new Reed Richards makes sense. Plus, snagging Pascal would mean another A-lister in the Marvel lineup. The guy’s been on a roll lately with hits like The Last of Us, The Mandalorian, and even some Game of Thrones fame as the Red Viper. Gladiator 2 is in his pipeline too, gearing up after Hollywood’s recent strike.

Now, let’s talk Fantastic Four. Matt Shakman’s on the director’s chair, and Josh Friedman’s doing the writing dance. The deets are a bit hush-hush, but brace yourself—it won’t be an origin story. And guess what? The It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia vibe is making its way into the mix. Pencil in May 2, 2025, for the release—part of the MCU’s Phase 5 extravaganza. Can’t wait to see if Pedro Pascal stretches his way into the superhero limelight! 🦸‍♂️✨
