In a recent announcement, it has been confirmed that Ghost of Tsushima, an acclaimed open-world samurai game, will be breaking its console exclusivity and landing on PC on May 16. The PC release, titled the Director’s Cut edition, encompasses the Iki Island expansion and the online cooperative mode Legends.
The PC version of Ghost of Tsushima comes equipped with advanced features, supporting upscaling and frame generation technologies like NVIDIA DLSS 3, AMD FSR 3, and Intel XeSS, along with NVIDIA Reflex and image-enhancing NVIDIA DLAA. Offering flexibility across a wide range of hardware, from high-end PCs to portable gaming devices, the game supports various widescreen monitors, including Ultrawide (21:9), Super Ultrawide (32:9), and 48:9 for three monitors. Additionally, Ghost of Tsushima on PC provides an unlocked framerate and a diverse range of graphics options. It also caters to players who prefer mouse and keyboard, offering fully customizable controls.
Steam users who choose to pre-purchase the game will enjoy bonus content, including a New Game Plus exclusive horse, Traveler’s Attire outfit, and Broken Armor dyes from Baku’s shop.
The collaboration between developer Sucker Punch and porting studio Nixxes marks a significant move for Sucker Punch, known for its console-exclusive titles. Brian Fleming, Sucker Punch’s co-founder, expressed confidence in Nixxes as the right team for the project, anticipating nothing short of amazing results.
Initially launched on PlayStation 4 in 2020, Ghost of Tsushima received critical acclaim for its immersive open world and compelling storyline. Players assume the role of Jin Sakai, a samurai grappling with moral choices amidst a Mongol invasion on Tsushima.
