GloRilla Arrested on DUI Charges in Georgia

Rapper GloRilla has been arrested and charged with driving under the influence, possessing an open container in a motor vehicle, and failure to obey a traffic control device.

According to an incident report, the “Tomorrow 2” performer received the charges on the morning of April 16 in Suwanee, Georgia. She was arrested by police after allegedly making a U-turn at a solid red light.

The 24-year-old star, whose real name is Gloria Hallelujah Woods, was then pulled over by an officer, who “immediately noticed her eyes to be watery and bloodshot” as they smelled marijuana in her vehicle and alcohol on her breath, per the report.

GloRilla admitted to having consumed alcohol earlier in the evening, the report states, though she refused to disclose how many beverages to the officer and insisted “she was good to drive.”

The officer “noticed that her sentences were not always making sense and that she had a hard time finishing her thoughts,” per the report, at which point another cop arrived to assist in conducting field sobriety evaluations.

The “Yeah Glo!” musician struggled through several evaluations and refused to take a portable breath test, according to the report. She was then arrested for driving under the influence.

During a search of the vehicle, an officer found marijuana and an open alcoholic beverage bottle, states the report. GloRilla was then taken to the Gwinnett County Detention Center, issued the charges, and booked from 6:12 a.m. to 9:41 a.m., when she posted a $1956 bond and was released.

Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, the rapper first earned recognition for her 2022 single “F.N.F. (Let’s Go)” with Hitkidd, which became her first song to chart on the Billboard Hot 100.

She’s since earned hits with “Tomorrow 2” featuring Cardi B, “On Wat U On” with Moneybagg Yo, “Yeah Glo!” and “Wanna Be” with Megan Thee Stallion. Her debut mixtape, Ehhthang Ehhthang, was released on April 5.
