Helldivers 2’s ‘review bomb cape’ is confirmed to be real, but developer Arrowhead is waiting for the right moment to release it.
This unique cape gained attention after Sony’s unpopular PSN account-linking mandate led to Helldivers 2 being review bombed on Steam. Players suggested immortalizing the review graph on a cape, and Arrowhead responded positively.
Helldivers 2’s director teased the cape’s existence in May, though a community manager later cast doubt on its completion. However, the director has now revealed that the cape is “done on our end,” but Arrowhead is waiting for the “right time to release it.”
The confirmation followed a statement from an Arrowhead community manager, who previously said the cape’s delivery was uncertain. Now, the mystery of the cape’s existence is resolved, and its release is anticipated.
Helldivers 2 is currently enjoying positive reception following a major patch that introduced over 100 tweaks and adjustments to the game’s Stratagems, weapons, and missions. Despite some unintended difficulties for players, the update has been well-received.
