That’s just Superman with extra steps isn’t it?
There has been persistent rumor that Henry Cavill is permanently quitting the DC Extended Universe to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the actor’s Superman future grows more and more uncertain. The British actor has reportedly turned down Warner Bros.’s invitation to reprise his Man of Steel role despite the studio’s efforts to reach a new agreement with him.
The real question at this point is who Cavill might wind up playing if he truly makes the startling move to the MCU. According to a recent speculation, it might resemble his portrayal as the adored DC character.
Recent information from CineStealth claims that Cavill will play Hyperion in Loki Season 2. For those who don’t know, Hyperion is essentially Marvel’s response to DC’s Man of Steel. While it can be argued that Marvel has many characters who are similar to Superman, Hyperion is unquestionably the most similar to Kal-El, even if he’s sometimes portrayed as a villain.
Loki Season 2 is currently in production.
