Hideo Kojima, renowned director of “Death Stranding” and “Metal Gear Solid,” has expressed admiration for the recent film “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga,” calling it his Bible and its director his God. Kojima particularly praised the film’s supporting characters, Mary (played by Charlee Fraser) and Jack (played by Tom Burke), stating that he “could only see” Burke as Metal Gear’s Solid Snake. Kojima mentioned that when he met Burke at a party, Burke shared that the film crew noted his resemblance to Snake on the first day of shooting.
While a Metal Gear Solid film was previously in development with Oscar Isaac attached to play Snake, the project has been on hold as the team continues to search for the right story. If production resumes, Kojima’s endorsement of Burke could influence casting decisions.
