Moon Knight has been taking over the past 6 Wednesdays. Its show lead, Oscar Issac is displaying a masterclass in acting. The portrayal of Dissociative Identity Disorder is both enlightening and entertaining. But one question does come to mind for those not eagle eyed enough to spot the reference. Does Moon Knight take place within the main MCU Universe?
That answer is actually easy if you spot the reference. In a recent episode, while Marc is dead after being shot by the villain Harrow, played by Ethan Hawke, the guide to the afterlife mentions the other gods on the Egyptian Pantheon. One of those Gods being Basst, the Panther God. She mentions that there are other planes of existence and name drops the ancestorsal plane more specifically.
That reference firmly places this series inside the main universe of the MCU.
The action and acting of this show has been a joy to watch and we hope that it will be renewed for a season 2.
