Jeffrey Wright will return as Isaac Dixon in the upcoming second season of HBO’s acclaimed show The Last of Us. Wright originally portrayed Isaac, a former marine and leader of the Washington Liberation Front (WLF), in the video game The Last of Us Part 2. He confirmed his return via Instagram with the caption: “Surprise.”
The cast for season 2 now includes Isabela Merced as Dina, Kaitlyn Dever as Abby, and Young Mazino as Jesse. This follows season 1, where Merle Dandridge reprised her game role as Marlene, and Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson, who voiced Joel and Ellie in the games, made cameo appearances.
Season 2, set to premiere in 2025, will follow the narrative of The Last of Us Part 2, focusing on an 18-year-old Ellie. Bella Ramsey and Pedro Pascal will continue their roles as Ellie and Joel, respectively.
