Larry David Hates When People Call ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ Cringe Comedy

Larry David, the mastermind behind “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” finally broke his silence about the show’s series finale at a PaleyFest event.

Just days after the last episode aired, the cast reunited to discuss the final moments of the iconic series. David expressed his surprise at the overwhelmingly positive response to the finale, emphasizing that he had never expected such acclaim.

During the event moderated by Judd Apatow, other cast members, including Jeff Garlin, Susie Essman, and Cheryl Hines, shared their favorite memories from the show and paid tribute to the late Richard Lewis. David also addressed the notion of “cringe comedy,” stating that he dislikes when people label the show as such.

Despite some sadness that it’s over, David admitted that it had been the most fun he’d ever had. Executive producer Jeff Schaffer confirmed that both co-creator Jerry Seinfeld and Julia Louis-Dreyfus were pleased with the final result, which exceeded everyone’s expectations.
