Next week, Metroid Fusion will be added to Switch

AFTER THIS ADDITION, THE WHOLE MAINLINE 2D METROID SAGA WILL BE AVAILABLE ON SWITCH.

Metroid Fusion, the Next Game Boy Advance Title for Nintendo Switch Online, Will Debut on March 8th, the Company Has Revealed.

Members of the Switch Online + Expansion Pack tier, which last month debuted its Game Boy library, will get access to the fourth installment in the 2D Metroid series.

The 2002 video game Metroid Fusion features the enigmatic X parasite, an entity that can replicate the skills of any species it infects, attacking bounty hunter Samus Aran.

Once Fusion is released, the entire mainline 2D Metroid series—including Metroid on the NES, Metroid II – Return of Samus on the Game Boy, Super Metroid on the Super NES, and the most recent installment on the Nintendo Switch, Metroid Dread—will be playable on Switch Online.

A Switch Online membership presently offers nine Game Boy and Game Boy Color titles, while its Expansion Pack tier also offers six Game Boy Advance games.

Several of the titles that will be added to the service in the future have also been confirmed by Nintendo.

The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons / Ages, Pokemon: Trading Card Game, and Kirby Tilt & Tumble are among upcoming Game Boy titles.

Future Game Boy Advance releases include Golden Sun, Fire Emblem, F-Zero Maximum Velocity, and Kirby and the Amazing Mirror.
