Hello Games, known for its ambitious No Man’s Sky, is set to reveal more about its next big project, Light No Fire, at the Summer Game Fest (SGF) next month. This new open-world game promises to offer a fantasy twist on the expansive exploration and freedom No Man’s Sky is known for.
Hints about the upcoming showcase were dropped when SGF organizer Geoff Keighley tweeted his excitement about new video game trailers, prompting a playful response from Hello Games director Sean Murray. The expectation is that Light No Fire, which was first announced at The Game Awards in 2023, will be featured prominently.
Unlike No Man’s Sky, which focused on procedurally generated galaxies, Light No Fire aims to create a single, highly detailed planet, with vast landscapes and monumental mountains. The game aspires to offer an immersive, explorable world comparable to the size of Earth.
With the upcoming SGF presentation on June 7, fans are eagerly awaiting more details about what Light No Fire will entail and how it will push the boundaries of open-world gaming.
