According to a source close to Warner Bros, employees are rather baffled by how things have developed since the company’s new CEO, David Zaslav, was hired.
If you recall, news broke in July that he had turned down the pitch for a brand-new Clint Eastwood film. For more than 50 years, Eastwood has been a stalwart at Warners.
In terms of superheroes, Zaslav is not pleased with what he’s seen of “Aquaman 2,” which is currently in post-production, but not to the extent that he’s put it on hold like he did with “Batgirl.”
Ezra Miller, aka The Flash, has been attacking people all over the world while Zaslav and team have been filming, but that movie is staying put. The truth is that Zaslav loves “The Flash.” There won’t likely be any more delays for that movie because of this. Despite the fact that its budget allegedly increased to around $300 million, it will still be released in 2023.
The recent 08.11.22 test screening of “The Flash,” which was directed by Andrés Muschietti and is regarded as one of the finest DCEU movies, only increased Zaslav’s trust in the final product. According to my sources, “The Flash” received the highest test ratings in DCEU history.
According to critics, Miller is ideal for the part. The movie also marks Michael Keaton’s triumphant comeback as Batman. He is supposed to play a crucial part in the plot and appears for more than half of the 140 minutes.
Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, and Jason Momoa all make brief appearances along the way. A CGI version of Christopher Reeve as Superman is also possible. How precisely does Reeve arrive? The Flash starts to recognize DC heroes from the past including Reeves, Adam West, Helen Slater, and Linda Carter because of his determination to utilize the space-time continuum to rewrite his past and bring his mother back.
