Sucker Punch, the developer behind Ghost of Tsushima, has clarified that the upcoming PC release of the game will not require a PlayStation Network (PSN) login for its single-player mode. This assurance comes amidst concerns raised by the introduction of a PSN login requirement for the co-op online multiplayer mode in Helldivers 2.
While Ghost of Tsushima’s co-op multiplayer mode, called Legends, will necessitate a PSN account, players can enjoy the single-player experience without needing to sign in. Sucker Punch made this clarification in response to inquiries on social media platforms, highlighting that the single-player game does not depend on PSN access.
The announcement sheds light on Ghost of Tsushima’s online component, which may have been overlooked by some players due to the game’s primary focus on its historical narrative, open-world exploration, and combat mechanics. Despite the inclusion of a multiplayer mode, the core single-player experience remains the highlight of Ghost of Tsushima.
This distinction offers a contrasting experience to other PC titles, like the Halo Master Chief Collection, which require additional account setups for full access. Sucker Punch’s decision to keep Ghost of Tsushima’s single-player mode independent of PSN login requirements ensures a seamless transition for PC players without unnecessary account complications.
