**According to TMZ**, local authorities in the Dominican Republic took the 27-year-old rapper, whose legal name is Daniel Hernandez, into custody at the Hotel Balcones del Atlántico in Sánchez.
An attorney representing Tekashi confirmed to the Dominican newspaper Diario Libre that the “Mala” artist had voluntarily surrendered himself. His arrest followed the issuance of a warrant.
