The Last of Us (PC) Has Been Delayed

THE PC VERSION WILL NOW BE AVAILABLE AFTER THE HBO SHOW’S FINALE HAS AIRED.

The Last of Us Part 1’s PC release has been delayed by Naughty Dog.

“The Last of Us Part 1” is a popular action-adventure video game developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It was released in 2013 for the PlayStation 3 and later re-released for the PlayStation 4 in 2014. The game takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where a fungus has infected most of humanity, transforming them into aggressive creatures. The player controls Joel, a smuggler tasked with escorting Ellie, a young girl, across the United States. The game’s story follows Joel and Ellie’s journey through the ruins of civilization, as they encounter other survivors and hostile infected creatures. The game received widespread critical acclaim for its story, characters, and gameplay, and is considered one of the best video games of all time.

On March 3, the PC version of the 2013 PS3 game’s remaster was scheduled to go live on Steam and the Epic Games Store. Its developer, however, revealed in a statement released on Friday that the new date was March 28.

As a result, the PC version will now debut a few weeks following the conclusion of the popular HBO series, which will air its final episode on March 12th.

“We at the studio have been completely blown away by the outpouring of love and support for The Last of Us these last few weeks,” Naughty Dog wrote on social media.

“Hearing your love for the HBO adaptation, seeing your beautiful Photo Mode shots, and learning about how the world and characters our studio created nearly a decade ago continue to reach new and old fans alike floors us every day.”

“We know a lot of you have been revisiting the story that started it all with The Last of Us Part I on PlayStation 5 console, and we realize many of you have been excited to jump in – some for the first time – when Part I hits PC.”

“And so we want to make sure that The Last of Us Part I PC debut is in the best shape possible. These additional few weeks will allow us to ensure this version of The Last of Us lives up to your, and our, standards.”

“We are so excited to bring The Last of Us Part I to a new platform, reaching new and returning players with Joel and Ellie’s unforgettable story of survival, and we hope that you’ll continue to look forward to its PC release on March 28.”

Last year, The Last of Us Part 1 on PS5 was released with updated gameplay and controls as well as more accessible features.
