SHOCKING: Microsoft President Exposes Sinister Plot by Russian Military Group to Manipulate Gamers!
The President of Microsoft, Brad Smith, has made a shocking revelation about Russian intelligence and military groups.
During an interview at Semafor’s World Economy Summit, Smith spoke about security issues in the gaming world and identified the presence of Russian groups attempting to spread information through gaming communities.
Smith clarified that playing video games is not inherently dangerous but the gaming community is a place where gamers come together and exchange information.
He further explained that for several months, Microsoft’s digital threat analysis team has been tracking the Russians’ attempts to penetrate gaming communities, and they have been warning governments about it.
Smith disclosed that The Wagner Group and Russian intelligence are among the groups using gaming communities as a place to circulate information.
He also confirmed that the recent leak of Pentagon documents on a games-centric Discord server was a result of the Russians’ efforts to penetrate the gaming community.
Smith, however, noted that this is not the number one thing to worry about since these groups will ultimately publish the information elsewhere.
The leaked Pentagon documents reportedly contained information about the Ukraine war, and a young gun enthusiast who was part of a games group on Discord is believed to be the current suspect.
