Valve’s unannounced hero shooter, reportedly named Deadlock, has achieved nearly 1,000 concurrent players over the past weekend, despite the developer’s silence on the project.
Earlier this month, leaked screenshots and gameplay footage of Deadlock surfaced online, revealing 19 hero characters and BioShock Infinite-style rails. The game also has an entry on SteamDB, which tracked 996 concurrent players, marking an all-time high for the unannounced shooter.
Speculation suggests that Deadlock is in a closed alpha stage, with Valve expanding the number of testers to gather feedback. Despite the leaks and rising interest, Valve has yet to officially reveal or tease the game.
